How we got here
It all started back in 2010 when Rick attended a wedding and discovered a photobooth at a wedding. He liked the idea so much on return decided to have a chat with Sam about starting up a little business.
After a short time they decided on the name Timeless Entertainment. Without much financial backing they decided to build their own booth. Following a bit of research they discovered what they need to purchase and the build started.
They offered their services to friends and family to build confidence in their new product. The booth was an instant hit! The snow ball effect started and bookings started coming in. They decided not to take any profit but to reinvest this into the business. After 2 years they had enough money set aside to buy their first "real" booth.
This business model was continued and further invested was made with the purchase of love lights, candy carts, ice cream trikes and post boxes. Timeless continued to grow at a steady rate all the way till 2013. When they saw a very quirky Subaru Samba Van with a body kit to make it look like a VW Split screen Campervan. Both of them fell in love with the vehicle which had already been converted into a photobooth. It was perfect for the next stage of Timeless Entertainment!
The Campervan photobooth caught many hearts and open the door to the corporate world for Sam & Rick. This provided to be a big factor in the continued growth of the business.
Remember the purchase of the post boxes...... well they didn't know but this was a slice of luck. The previous owners of the post boxes were selling as they had launched a chauffeur company for wedding using VW Split screen campervans. Sam & Rick therefore approached the owners once again to show an interested in working alongside the campervans. The campervan business was called Silk and Satin Weddings. Timeless and Silk & Satin worked alongside each other I.e. The happy couple must like campervans why not have them chauffeur you to your wedding and then in the evening we can run a photobooth from a campervan!
Jump to 2015 and the owners decided it was the right time to put up the business for sale, this involved purchasing the future booking and the two beautiful campervan, Abbe & Jodi. Sam & Rick decided they would try everything they could to make the purchase come a reality! This involved selling a house and borrowing money off parents. But in 2016 Sam & Rick became the new owners of Silk and Satin Weddings!
As a result of the purchase of Silk and Satin, Rick and Sam were soon able to make this their full time job. Rick left his role as a electrician and Sam left Bedfordshire Police where he was a Police Constable. This allowed them to pay more attention to the business and maybe if their honest the luxury of a few mid week games of golf! They had achieved their dream of turning their business in to a full time job.
As the new owner of a VW company they approached all VW wedding companies to build up a repour. This is when they worked alongside another local VW Campervan company operating out of Northamptonshire, Pear Tree Campers. Referrals were made to each other and business was shared for a number of years. However in 2017 Peartree owners decide to call it a day and put the business up for sale. Sam and Rick had just purchased their 3rd Campervan, Alfie and therofore didnt have the moeny to purchase Peartree and their 3 vehicles.
After a few months of negotiations it was agreed Sam and Rick would purchase the company and one of the vehicles, Morris. This now brings you up to the present date (well their was a thing called a COVID in the middle which nearly caused the collapse of the company) but less of that, no one likes a sad story.
The wedding Industry has started to recover from this global pandemic and they hope the future to be bright!
